@smallbizatlanta
I'd have to agree Ashley, I think FB is trying to remain competitive, as our environment focuses more and more on visuals. Change is usually an inconvenience, but the changes are growing on me. I actually like these changes, even though I'm still learning how to use them all!

I must admit that at first I saw the timeline changes as an inconvenience, but now I truly do think it's better this way. As adults we are by nature very resistant to change, but really on the visual end of things it's really a lot better, especially for posting pictures and videos. I think that FB is trying to hang in their with Pinterest, Tumblr and some of the more visual social media sites.

Kemya, I am so sorry to hear this news! You are right you have a platform and you have every right to share your thoughts and feelings about this nonsense that has managed to interrupt your life. Most of all as a mother myself, my major concern are your children. It's one thing to be an adult and have to experience this BS but it's a whole different things when scenes like this play out in front of children or even worse involve them (putting a gun at an unarmed child WTH is this world coming to?). Kemya I pray for you and your family and thank you for speaking out!

@smallbizatlantaThanks Ashley! It’s amazing how many small business owners still don’t know much about Google Alerts. It makes eavesdropping and research so easy!

@smallbizatlanta
I couldn't have said it better myself! I feel like I have this same conversation on a weekly basis with some business owner who still wants to rebel against social media. It still baffles me...

Great article Kemya! Having a social media strategy is very important and I agree w/ you for those that don't have a clue what they are doing they should hire a pro! But not getting involved at all is not the answer and neither is half-a**ing it! #JustSayin

Absolutely, people love chocolate! I happen to be drinking from a branded water bottle right now. And you made a good point, you can do some things yourself. All it takes is a little creativity. Seeing a logo in unexpected places always gets people's attention. Thanks for sharing; I'm glad you enjoyed the post!
